The UK Civil Aviation Authority’s (CAA) General Aviation (GA) Unit continues to work to follow its remit of regulating only when necessary and deliver on their top-level principles for better GA regulation.
Achievements over the past three months include:
In September 2021, they started a year- long active Carbon Monoxide (CO) detector trial with the UK GA community. The trial focuses on a monthly survey that they issue to registered members to help them to understand to what extent carbon monoxide affects UK GA. They have now collated and reviewed the first three months of survey data (September – November 2021). code
Over this quarter several improvements and modifications have been made to the GA webpages on the CAA website. Of note, they have split Safety Publications & Information from Safety Topics to help make this easier to navigate. They continue to look for ways to add illustrations where they can and have improved how they display the new Safety Sense Leaflet page and the new Clued Up Magazine and Article
